My Print Studio Wall
More Monoprints !!!
At the moment I am loving print. It is so much fun and I find it very addictive as I keep wanting to try and experiment more with colours and layers. It is exciting to see how the finished piece develops. Last Tuesday and Thursday I used the workshop all day trying out different ways to print the same image. I used an image that wasn't too hard to create and it relates to the theme "Urban".
Here are some of the prints I made over the last few days:

A New Semester
Hello again!! The first semester is already over and a new one has just started today. I'm so happy all the stress over the assessments is finally over and now I will be able to concentrate on just one subject for the next two weeks, which is print. Today was a demonstration day about the things we will be doing during print in the next two weeks. The theme we got is 'Urban' and we already got homework on Friday to have ten pictures which we hung up on our walls today. In the following two weeks we will be looking at Monorprint and Drypoint which are both print processes. I am familiar with monoprints but not drypiont, which is when you scratch into acetate. I'm looking forward to the next two weeks of print.
Here are some pictures I took last weekend which I hung up in my studio wall:
I think these pictures are related to the theme 'urban' as these are places in the city where teenagers hang out at. Before college, my friends and me used to also spend our time at these places and sometimes still do: So the things I am focusing at is not graffiti, but more about the run down places where teenagers meet.

Slowly getting more work done
Happy New Years everyone! :) . Sadly because of Christmas and New Years I didn't get as much work done as I hoped but I did manage to finish one part of the stop motion. Although there is one problem which occurred when doing it on movie maker, the pictures take too long to load. The reason could be that I just put up too many photographs which have to be shown in a very short period of time. Despite that, I still plan on showing it to my tutors during my assessment as I put much work into it and I learned from my mistakes.

Christmas holiday project!
First of all I would like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas. :) During the holidays I didn't just want to sit around and do nothing as my assessments are held a day after we get back from our break. Apart from still working on my contextual notebook I am also trying to do a stop motion related to my project. I will have two sets. One which will be a kitchen and the other a garden. I just finished the kitchen and my schedule got a bit delayed because...I broke my camera and I just got one today from a friend. There are still many things I have to do for it till I can properly start the stop motion but I am looking forward to the outcome. Even if it wont be great I will still have the documentation of the work I did.

Colour layers of monoprint
I did these two monoprints on Tuesday in which I tried to layer two colours over each other to see what would happen. I noticed using the darker colour first is more effective than using the lighter colour first.
Personally I prefer the pink and yellow one.
